SUPER TYPHOON HAIYAN - Hits the Philippines

SUPER TYPHOON HAIYAN.

Hitting the Philippines with winds of 195mph, typhoon Haiyan has been described as the strongest tropical cyclone to make landfall in recorded history.
The category five storm - which has also been called Yolanda in the Philippines - is reported to have had speeds at landfall of 195mph and gusts of up to 235mph, meaning that it is believed to be stronger than the world's last strongest tropical cyclone, hurricane Camille, which was recorded as making landfall in Mississippi with 190 mph winds in 1969. The Guardian's south-east Asia correspondent, Kate Hodal, writes today:
Thousands of people have been evacuated and thousands more have fled their homes as the category five storm sent waves as high as 5m (15ft) ashore on the islands of Leyte and Samar in the central Philippines, overturning powerlines and leaving streets knee-deep in water.

We almost know the rest of the story dahil sa pakikinig o panonood natin sa telebisyon, pagbabasa sa internet at iba pa. Even foreign news particularly CNN has a special coverage on this horrific event. We can  read on most social media sites people are asking for prayers, donations or help that could be extended for those who are badly affected by this super typhoon. Different people from different parts of the World are giving their deep sympathy for our nation. Anyway, on the other hand. When i read one column on Philboxing.com earlier, even the current P4P King the American undefeated Floyd Mayweather has been giving His deep sympathy and prayer for our country.

There is something behind on all of these things. I WILL ASK YOU, IS IT REALLY NATURAL? Most of the time God let these things to happen para gisingin tayo sa mahimbing na pagkakatulog, nahihimbing tayo sa mga bagay sa sanlibutan, sa mga gawain natin na hindi nakakalugod sa harapan ng ating Panginoon. The sin of man has been drastically incurable. O hindi ba totoo, marahil ung ibang makakabasa nito, magsasabi na it is a natural process of nature kaya nangyayari at hindi kailangan ng spiritual explanation. Well, again ill tell you this, silang mga hindi tumatanggap ng katotohanan at nagsasawalang bahala sa tinig ng Panginoon ay tatanggap ng kahatulan na naayon sa kanya. YOU CAN LAUGH NOW, BUT ONE THING IS FOR SURE, THE LAST LAUGH WILL NOT BE YOURS. We need to turn to God know and turn from our weaked ways before the judgement of the Lord runs over us. Sa mga pagkakataon na ito, natututo tayong magbulay bulay, there was wrong. It should not happen at all.  When we read the bible in the Old testament on the time of Noah, people are very busy, immorality has been rampant on all places until the judgement of the Lord takes place. If you read the bible you know the rest of the story. Now ask yourself? Can you tell me the connection? 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

It is good to pray for our country, for the people who are truly been affected by extreme chaos brought by 7.2 or higher magnitude earthquakes and the likes of category 5 super typhoon Haiyan, there is nothing wrong with it. But first we need to ask for God's grace to forgive us from our sins and shortcomings, tulog kasi tayo ng tulog most of the time. Let us strive to do what is pleasing to God, on ourselves, our family, our community and our country so that God will heal our land and spare us from threat of disasters that may come.
